Job Description
Interior design is dedicated to improving the decoration and functionality of any interior space – residential, commercial, and industrial. Interior designers draw on a combination of engineering and artistic skills to determine the structure of a space, satisfy the needs of occupants, and meet all safety standards or building codes. Many fashion designers are employed by furnishing companies and design firms; others work in conjunction with architects, contractors, and consultants.

Education Requirements
Entry-level interior designers typically hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. Professionals in the field continue on to earn a Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree.
