As the movie industry relies more heavily on special effects for high action movies, the demand grows for skilled workers who can meet the demand. Southern California will have robust growth in Graphic Design and 3-D animation, but don’t discount Northern California. San Francisco is a top leader in the field of Graphic Design. There will be many opportunities for growth by 2016.

There is an estimated need for 36,000 Graphic Designers ending in the year 2016. And 30,000 3-D animators That is a total of 15,200 new design-related jobs in California by 2016.
