Web designers create websites for a variety of different clients. They find the most effective way to help users navigate a website and access the desired information using good visual design methods website architecture practices. Web designers develop the overall layout and design websites using a variety of professional software including: HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and many other imaging software.

Education Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required for most entry-level and advanced web design positions; although some entry-level technical positions may only require an associate degree. Bachelor’s degree programs in graphic design and web design are offered at many colleges, universities, and private design schools.
Associate degrees and certificates in web design also are available from 2-year and 3-year professional schools.

Employment of web designers is expected grow faster than average. Keen competition for jobs is expected; individuals with a bachelor’s degree and knowledge of computer design software, particularly those with Web site design and animation experience will have the best opportunities.
