The Silas H. Rhodes Merit Freshman Scholarship is open to entering first-year and transfer students at the School of Visual Arts. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA and seeking admission to a full-time undergraduate program to be eligible for this award. All SVA majors (design, fine art, photography, illustration and more) are encouraged to apply.

The Alvin J. Cox Memorial Fund is available to college students in need of financial assistance. You must submit an essay on any topic of your choosing as long it includes: Your reason for deciding to attend college, your reason as to why you believe you deserve the scholarship and your chosen college major.

FIRE’s “Freedom on Campus” Student Video Contest

Scholarships Available: vaires
The FIRE’s “Freedom on Campus” Student Video Contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at a U.S. college or university. To be eligible for this contest, you must document a free speech controversy on a college campus (either at your own or at another school) and produce a short film about it.
